RCF, Coal India Limited (CIL), GAIL and FCIL have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to set up a fertilizer complex at Talcher. It is proposed to set up a 3850 MTPD Urea and 2200 MTPD Ammonia plant along with Offsite facilities. JV Company “Talcher Fertilizers Limited” (TFL) has been incorporated. Selection of technology supplier and allocation of coal block is underway. The estimated project cost is around Rs. 7,700 Crore. The project is likely to be commissioned by 2020.
