Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Ltd is setting up a new Brownfield Ammonia-Urea Complex in Namrup in Assam. The new project has received Union Cabinet approval for an investment of ₹ 106,400 million. The project will imrpove Urea production facility to 12.7 Lakh Metric Tonnes per annum.The tentative overall time schedule for commissioning of Namrup-IV Project is 48 months. The project will be implemented in a new joint venture for this Namrup JV plant.
