Tuticorin Alkali Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd ( SPIC Group Company) is setting up a carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery project, which will utilize the boiler flue gases. The company has purchased license for the technology for the CO2 recovery from boiler flue gases. The plant will CO2 which is a vital raw material for soda ash, ammonium chloride (fertiliser grade) and a range of pesticide formulations. As a backward integration measure, the company proposes to put up a technical-grade pesticides plant.
