Coromandel Fertilizers is planning to undertake an debottlenecking and modernization programme to increase its LP and NPK capacity from the existing 3000 MTPD to 3900 MTPD. The project involves setting up of enhancing phosphoric acid plant production capacity from 700 to 1000 MTPD, debottlenecking the existing sulphuric acid plant to increase capacity from 1400 mtpd to 1700 mtpd, installation of 40 MTPH coal fired boiler to meet additional power requirement. , Installation of a 5 MW back pressure turbine to maximize the efficiency of steam utilization and a installation of a 400 MTPD evaporation system for phosphoric acid including a fluorine recovery system.
