IFFCO plans energy saving project in Phulpur

IFFCO is planning to implement a modernization programme at its plant in Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh. It will be a Energy Saving Project (ESP) with an investment of Rs. 9760 million which will reduce the energy consumption from 6.695 Gcal/MT Urea to 6.5 Gcla/MT Urea . This scheme will lead to saving of 92,000 SCMPD of Natural gas, 520 MTPD of Coal and 2760 CMPD of Water. The existing sources of power is 12.5 MW and 10 MW Turbo Generators and they are likely to be replaced by a GT-HRSG co-generation plant of 23 MW.
